Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal agreed to submit a personal bail bond. It is known that earlier he disagreed to submit the bond and went into custody in a defamation case filed by BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
High Court bench told Prashant and Shanti Bhushan to advise Kejriwal to submit a personal bond in the case and the bench said it will look into the legal challenge to the demand for bail bond later. High Court bench said, “Why do you want him to stay in jail? Submit the personal bond and seek his release. We will look at the legal issues.”
The court gave special permission to Prashant and Shanti Bhushan to meet Kejriwal outside the Tihar jail.
