Arvind Kejriwal slapped again

AravindArvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, was attacked again today while campaigning in Delhi for the general election.

AK was on a roadshow in north-west Delhi, when a man climbed onto his vehicle. He garlanded him and planted a stinging slap on his face. Aravind was later seen praying at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial Rajghat with a swollen left eye.

The attacker was identified as an auto-rickshaw driver was immediately pulled down and beatean by AAP workers. The attacker has accused Mr Kejriwal of “betraying auto-drivers”. Thousands of auto-drivers in Delhi actively campaigned for Mr Kejriwal before the December Delhi election, in which the AAP scored an impressive second spot.

In four days, this is the second time that Mr Kejriwal has been attacked.

“I am just thinking – why am i being repeatedly attacked? Who r the masterminds? What do they want? What do they achieve?… Let them tell me place n time. I will come there. Let them beat me as much as they want, but will that solve the country’s problems?” – He tweeted after the attack.
