Central Government submitted the names of 627 Indians with foreign bank accounts, in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court in the black money case. The government submitted the names in three set of documents in a sealed envelope.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court directed the Center to reveal to it all the names and not to delay the matter. The top court also said that the black money case will be investigated by Special Investigation Team and not the government. Supreme Court said, “SIT is our representative, we have full trust in them.” SIT was given the deadline till Macrh 2015 to probe the case.
For now, it is not clear that whether all the names in the sealed cover will be made public or not. Supreme Court refused to open the sealed envelope saying that the documents be placed before SIT. The top court made it clear that only SIT chairman and vice chairman can open the sealed envelope containing names of account holders.
