A rare honour was bestowed on writer-actor-director Tanikella Bharani when his latest book Pyaasa was launched in the British Parliament. This is the first time ever a Telugu book was launched in the British Parliament.
Pyaasa is inspired from the Omar Khayyam’s Rubaiyat. Pyaasa has got an universal theme which is about love which will appeal to the wider audience. This book was released in some of the main cities of the world. Mandali Budha Prasad, deputy speaker of AP has facilitated the event through a British parliament member and the UK Telugu association.
Dan Byles, British Parliament member is also present at the event. This book was also released in the main cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
