Sudheer Babu is coming up with a Telugu romantic film “Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini” which has Nanditha Raj in the female lead. Film is a remake of Kannada hit movie directed by R Chandru who is also directing the Telugu version. Is the director successful in repeating a hit in Telugu? Lets see

Plot:

Krishna(SudheerBabu) is the CEO of Wincraft company who settled in USA gets a call from his childhood school friends who planned an old students get together in Krishnapuram. Krishna starts to India and on his way to the village travels back to his school days where he fell in love with Radha(Nanditha) in his 7th standard. Like most of the love stories he tries to propose Radha but fails to convey his love because of circumstances from his Principal and Radha’s step mother. Krishna concentrate’s on his studies and gets a job in USA. Krishna is expecting Radha to be available at the reunion but much to his excitement Radha will not attend the event. What happened to Radha, will Krishna meet Radha forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The story of the film is based on love, family affections and emotions. Since childhood we have been watching several love stories and “Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini” is one of them. The Infatuation during childhood reminds us of films like “Naa Autograph”. The positive aspect of the film is the emotional scenes between the lead pair Sudheer and Nanditha. The negative aspect is the boring first half, unnecessary fights and lack of comedy. Second half will be better once the film shifts to college life. Dialogues at the pre-climax are touchy and emotional. Film talks about the importance of love and career in life. Director didn’t made any changes in the climax which may not strike a chord with the audience.

Performances:

Sudheer Babu’s performance is the major asset of the film and he is an improved and matured actor now. He is very strong in the emotional scenes and is best at the dance moves.

Nanditha Raj suited well as a traditional village girl and her performance is credible.

Technical Department:

Director Chandru just repeated the same script with out much of changes to suit Telugu Audience. He is good in portraying emotional scenes but misses the entertainment factor.

Music by Hari is good in a couple of songs and the BGM.

Cinematography is pretty decent and captured the village locales very well.

Verdict:

Emotional and Routine Love Story
