Naga Shourya who has lover boy tag teamed up with Yogi, who directed Chintakayala Ravi previously, to start his phase as a mass hero. Small scree star Sonarika made her debut to big screen with Jadoogadu. Let’s see how this movie treated them…

Plot:
Krishna (Naga Shourya) moves to Hyderabad from his village after challenging the people there that he will become rich in no time with his smartness. Initially, he joins as a recovery agent in a bank to collect unsettled loans. In this process, he meets Srisailam (Zakeer Hussain) and joins with him. Srisailam is supported by minister Jagadish Naidu (Kota Srinivas Rao). In the mean time, Krishna falls in love with Parvathi (Sonaraki), a nurse, who plans to settle in Dubai to make quick money.

Srisailam made a trap to Krishna and makes him involve in a 2000 crore scam without revealing the details of it. Srisailam and Jagadish Naidu plans to get the 2000 crore and kill Krishna. How Krishna comes to know this deal? How to deal with it? What is Parvathi’s role in this drama? Will she reached Dubai? These questions makes the movie.

Analysis:
Jadoogadu is not a new subject to Telugu audience, who have seen plenty of movie on the same subject. Movie completely revolves around Naga Shourya. Director had a good script in his hand but failed at narration at few scenes, especially in the second half.

If Naga Shourya main goal with Jadoogadu is to get mass hero image, he definitely nailed it. His characterization is the major plus of the movie. Being a big time actress in small screen, Sonarika choosing a small movie says she don’t have a godfather in big screen. Considering this fact, Jadoogadu is a good debut for Sonarika. She grabbed the attention with her looks.

First half of the movie is a real commercial entertainer with action, glamour & comedy, and makes the audience expect a power packed play in the second half. But, they experience the other side of it and stays in confusion till climax. Climax twist is a real mind blower and never expected. First half and well executed climax are the saving grace of the movie. Though Jadoogadu is not a super movie, definitely not a bad movie.

Cast Performance:
Naga Shourya: Jadoogadu revloves a lot around Naga Shourya’s performance who has gone for an image makeover. He is definitely someone to watch out for with his good looks and good acting skills. He has acted with good energy levels through out the film.

Sonaraki Bhadoria: She is an eye popper altogether and shared sparkling chemistry with Naga Shourya. She added an extra oomph to the movie with her sexy appeal.

Sapthagiri and Prithvi made their presence felt with their comedy. Zakeer Hussain, Ajay and Ashish Vidyarthi did their best in their negative avatar.

Technical Department:
First to mention, Cinematography is topnotch. Director have good script and maintained his grip in most of the first half but failed to maintain the same level in the second half.

Choreography and action episodes composed well. Fine editing by MR Varma. Production Values are appreciable.

Verdict: Can be watched once.
