After a gap of 1 year, Ram Charan is coming up with Bruce Lee and he teamed up with hit combo Srinu Vaitla -Kona Venkat & Gopi Mohan. Megastar Chiranjeevi after a gap of 6 years has done a cameo in this film. With a huge star cast and big budget whether Srinu Vaitla pulls off a hit?
Born in a middle class family, Karthik alias Bruce Lee(Ram Charan) sacrifices his education for his sister Kriti Kharbanda as his father Rao Ramesh aspires one of them to become a Collector. Bruce Lee meets Ria (Rakul Preet Singh), who is obsessed to marry a police officer. Ria who assumes Bruce Lee to be a Cop fall in love with him. In a sudden twist Kriti faces problem from Deepak Raj(Arun Vijay).
Deepak Raj is also looking for Bruce Lee. Jayaraj(Sampath) son and Kriti Kharbanda will get engaged. Now Ram Charan will be on a mission guided by Ria’s father Mukesh Rushi. The rest of the story is about the twist and tales of Ram Charan with the Villains.
Film starts on a good note with Ram Charan portraying the role of a stunts man. Scenes in the first half are very good with ample entertainment. The satirical conversation scenes between Rao Ramesh and Charan have come very well. Rakul Preet Singh’s glamour is a huge boost for the film in the first half. Chemistry between Ram Charan and Rakul Preet is superb.
Arun Vijay excelled in the negative role but not powerfully portrayed. Family emotions are given priority mixed with good comedy, songs and fights in the first half. The tempo of the film goes down with routine confusing comedy setup which is very similar to Srinu Vaitla’s old films. After watching second half one can recollect several scenes from films like Dookudu, Race Gurram. Though Brahmanandam comedy is watchable but not different at all. Tisca Chopra’s role completely wasted.
Though the second half and climax are predictable, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s presence in the climax will again rise the tempo of the film. His screen presence is unmatchable in the film and a definite boost to the overall film.
Ram Charan: He has justified completely to the role of Bruce Lee. There is a definite improvement in his comedy timing in the film. His dance moves are excellent and he has done well in emotional scenes.
Rakul Preet: She is dazzling in each and every frame. So much care has been taken on her costumes. Her glamorous show with good comedy timing will be a treat to everyone.
Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh and Brahmanandam did their jobs well which they are very used to.
Director Srinu Vaitla executed the film in the likes of his previous films but he is successful in showing the family emotions. He is very successful in portraying Chiru in a grand way.
Thaman’s Back Ground Music and songs are impressive.
Production values are very good especially in the Le Chalo song.
Decent Family Entertainer with predictable script and a one time watch for Chiranjeevi.
