Sundeep Kishan has come up with “Tiger” movie which is his first film in 2015. He teamed up with director V I Anand who is a protege to director Murugadoss. Rahul Ravindran and Seerat Kapoor are playing important roles in the film. Let’s see how the film is?
Vishnu(Rahul Ravindran) and Tiger(Sundeep Kishan) are orphans, Tiger is a selfless friend who always wants to set Vishnu’s life. When in orphanage, against the will of Tiger, Vishnu accepts to be adopted by a middle class yet loving family. And now, when Vishnu falls in love with Ganga(Seerat Kapoor), Tiger doesn’t like his decision as he wants Vishnu to be in a big joint family.
After a few scenes, there comes a conflict where Vishnu have to choose either Ganga or Tiger. What Vishnu Chooses? What happens to Vishnu eventually after the decision? forms the story.
Director VI Anand narrated a routine friendship plot in different tone, with gripping screenplay. He have treated the love and friendship parts well and he handled a serious issue of honour killing in appreciable yet commercial way.
First half goes off in brisk pace with mix of entertainment and partly emotional scenes, whenever narration falls flat there comes a rising point, which keeps audience engaged. Second half is a bit cliched, it will work out for the commercial causes and stylish narration too helps.
Backdrop chosen suited the script well, and the actors have carried the plot in an apt manner. Songs are good, chemistry between lead characters is too good. Yeah a few logics are missing but can be ignored, like Tiger travelling to kasi in no time from Rajahmundry and there is no mention of Vishnu’s parents after the initial scenes.
Sundeep Kishan have given a commendable performance in the emotional scenes, but seems out of place when dealing with entertainment scenes, however he carried the character which will go well with the audience.
Rahul Ravindran proving his mettle with each film, and this film is no different. Seerat Kapoor suited the bill perfectly, she is believable as a lovely girl from north.
Singer Saandeep did a crucial role and he was good in that role and other Hindi artists did their bit well.
Director is top class, Screenplay is magical and narration is stylish. Cinematography is top notch, Editing is crisp, Art department did well with in the constraints. Costumes are natural. Music by Thaman is good, okay songs and Superb BGM.
Verdict: Well made, Watch it this weekend
